A Lebanese comedian based in London, he began his stand-up career in Beirut in 2018 as a regular performer with AWK.WORD, described as the first underground stand-up comedy platform in Lebanon. Since moving to London, he has become a co-founder of Comedy Factory Arabic, a platform expanding Arab comedy in the UK, and has performed as part of Arabs Are Not Funny, the Arts Canteen comedy night that has taken Arab comedians to venues including Rich Mix in Bethnal Green and the Elgar Room at the Royal Albert Hall.
On the London gong circuit his record is strong. He has won Beat the Blackout at Up The Creek in Greenwich and the Ding Dong Gong Show at Big Belly Comedy Club, and reached the final of King Gong at The Comedy Store, London's most famous and demanding audience-vote format. He also reached the semi-finals of So You Think You're Funny? 2023, the Edinburgh Fringe's longest-running new comedian competition, which has helped launch careers including Lee Mack, Peter Kay, Dylan Moran, and Aisling Bea.
His comedy draws on the experience of living between two cultures, on the particular textures of Lebanese life, and on what it means to observe all of it from the outside once you have left.
