Shawn Uyosa

Shawn Uyosa is a Nigerian-born Irish comedian who has been performing stand-up comedy since he was 17 years old and has since performed all over the world, including in London, Glasgow, Dublin, and New York.

Shawn won Ireland's Best New Act at the Bray Comedy Festival in 2020 and The Comedy Cavern's Cork Comedian of the Year in 2023.

He performed at the Paddy Power Comedy Festival in 2023, 2024, and 2025, a festival featuring Tommy Tiernan and Dara Ó Briain, and at The Kilkenny Cat Laughs Festival in 2024. The Irish Times named him one of "Three Comedians To Watch In 2024" and LadBible Ireland named him one of the acts they were most looking forward to seeing.

Shawn has been on the radio for RTÉ Radio and on Red FM in Cork. He also features in a series of sketches for the RTÉ Player called Office Girl, playing the character Barry.

He wrote and starred in the RTÉ series Seachtain Na Gaeilge and Peter O'Toole's short film V9.
