
Shawn Uyosa is a Nigerian born Irish comedian who has been performing stand up comedy since he was 17 years old and has since performed all over the World including in London, Glasgow, Dublin and even New York!
Shawn won "Ireland's Best New Act" competition at the Bray Comedy Festival in 2020 and The Comedy Cavern's "Cork Comedian Of The Year" competition in 2023.
Shawn performed at The PaddyPower Comedy Festival in 2023, 2024 and 2025 featuring Tommy Tiernan and Dara O Briain, at The Kilkenny Cat Laughs Festival in 2024 and was picked by The Irish Times as one of “Three Comedians To Watch In 2024” and by LadBible Ireland as “One Of The Acts They’re Most Looking Forward To Seeing.”
Shawn has been on the radio for RTE Radio and on Red Fm in Cork. Shawn is also featured on a series of sketches for the RTE Player called “Office Girl” as the character “Barry.”
Shawn wrote and starred in the RTE series “Seachtain Na Gaeilge” and Peter O’Toole’s short film “V9.”
Shawn has opened for comedians such as Ali Woods, Josh2Funny, Shane Daniel Byrne and opened for Larry Dean at The Liberty Hall Theatre in Dublin for 400 people.
