Comedian Paras Patel performing on stage, smiling while holding an acoustic guitar at a microphone stand. Short dark hair, dark beard, blue zip-up fleece over white t-shirt. Dark curtain backdrop, warm stage lighting.

He placed joint third at the 2025 Musical Comedy Awards final and the audience queued up afterwards to tell him he'd been robbed. Chortle called him "a decisive hit" and described his style as "laid back but combative, speaking quietly to pull the audience in and knocking them down with expert comedic jabs." This is a reasonable description of a musical comedian who does not really have songs, but picks at a guitar while he talks in a way that Chortle compared to Dylan Moran at a keyboard. Think Flight of the Conchords, except the emotional damage is more recent and the Tinder date is worse.

He is also a 2024 So You Think You're Funny? finalist, one of ten acts from over 400 entrants who reached the Edinburgh Fringe final, MC'd by Maisie Adam and judged by Sue Perkins. A competition that has previously produced Lee Mack, Peter Kay, Dylan Moran, and Aisling Bea. He is a crowd-roaster and guitar-strumming menace to polite society, and he leaves audiences laughing, singing along, and nervously checking whether they are about to be the subject of a bit.
