Marty Gleeson
An Irish comedian based in London with an offbeat, disarming, and whimsical performance style that has accumulated over 30 million views online and earned her a string of credits most comedians spend years working toward. Chortle described her as someone who "exudes the vibe of someone not quite of this world," and Broadway World wrote that "it's rare to find a comic whose playful relationship with suspense has an audience laughing before they've even spoken." Rolling Stone called hers "the sort of strange and unusual comedy brain that makes you excited for what comes next."
She was crowned LGBTQ+ New Comedian of the Year 2024 at the Comedy Bloomers competition, held at the Clapham Grand and judged by Zoe Lyons, Jen Brister, and Daniel Foxx. She has been showcased on the BBC New Comedy Award Finals and Channel 4's Sean Lock Comedy Award, and was selected for the prestigious Pleasance Comedy Reserve at the Edinburgh Fringe 2024. She has provided tour support for Vittorio Angelone and had viral sketches shared by joe.ie, one of Ireland's largest entertainment platforms.
She was a finalist in the Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year 2023, voted Funny Women One to Watch 2023, and won the Pete Nash Award for Comic Originality 2022. She was also a finalist in the West End New Act of the Year 2022.
