Lou Sanders is an English stand-up comedian, writer, and actress celebrated for her uniquely witty and distinctive style. Before launching her career in comedy, she worked in administrative roles and took comedy classes, which led to her writing a comedic blog. Her journey as a live performer has since taken her to stages across the UK and around the world, earning her a reputation for bold and unpredictable sets.

As a live performer, Sanders performs regularly both in the UK and around the world. In 2018, her show Shame Pig was the joint winner of the Comedians' Choice Award for Best Show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. She also returned to the festival in 2019 with her show, Say Hello to Your New Step Mummy.

Sanders is a familiar face on television, winning the eighth series of Taskmaster in 2019. She has been a regular on popular panel shows including QI, Would I Lie to You?, and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. From 2021, she has appeared as Mel Giedroyc's sidekick on the Dave comedy series Mel Giedroyc: Unforgivable. As an actress, she has appeared in sitcoms like This Way Up and Sick of It. In 2024, she was a contestant on the sixteenth series of Dancing on Ice, and in March 2025, she will star in the first series of LOL: Last One Laughing UK alongside comedian Harriet Kemsley.

Sanders is also an accomplished writer, having written for shows like Mock the Week and Miranda Hart. She wrote and starred in the short film Elderflower, and in 2023, released her autobiography What's That Lady Doing?. She connects with a wide audience through her podcasts, including her show Cuddle Club and the popular Taskmaster: The People's Podcast. Her versatile and widely-acclaimed work is a perfect example of the unconventional entertainment audiences in London seek out.
