Lauren Soley

Comedian Lauren Soley in a professional studio headshot. Curly auburn hair, blue-grey eyes, slight open-mouth expression. White collared shirt under a leopard print vest, small stud earring.

Hailing from the Costa del Dudley, her confessional, delightfully daft stand-up mines her own missteps and takes a loving look at the banal behaviour of the everyday human navigating life's bizniz. She started sketch comedy in 2022 as one half of BAB, the duo she formed with Amy Spinks, and the pair went on to win the Funny Women Comedy Shorts Award 2023  an award whose past winners and finalists include Katherine Ryan, Sara Pascoe, and Sophie Duker.

BAB were also finalists for the Birmingham Comedy Festival Breaking Talent Award 2025, the West Midlands' biggest comedy prize. As a solo stand-up she reached the semi-finals of the Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year, and as a writer her work has been shortlisted for the All3Media New Writers' Collective and the Female Pilot Club.
