Harriet Kemsley is a leading voice in English stand-up comedy, celebrated for her distinctive wit and engaging live performances. After beginning her career in 2011, she quickly rose to prominence, winning the Funny's Funny contest within months. Her momentum continued into 2012, where she was named Bath Comedy Festival New Act of the Year and Brighton Comedy Festival New Act of the Year, solidifying her place as a rising star. Her critically acclaimed autobiographical solo show, Slutty Joan, received a positive review in The Guardian, further establishing her as a formidable and fearless performer.

As a familiar face on British television, Kemsley has showcased her talent on numerous panel shows, including Roast Battle and two different series of 8 Out of 10 Cats. Her comedic skill was also on display in the first series of LOL: Last One Laughing UK. Beyond comedy, she has also built a career as an actress, appearing in the film Bonobo and in TV shows like Damned and Doctor Foster. In a testament to her versatile talent, she even provided the voice for the final boss in the video game Dark Souls II.

Her professional life has also extended to other creative ventures. From 2018 to 2022, she hosted the podcast Why Is Harriet Crying? alongside fellow comedian Sunil Patel. She also provided a unique glimpse into her personal life, starring with her then-fiancé Bobby Mair in the Viceland reality show Bobby & Harriet Get Married, which chronicled their wedding. Her distinctive and widely-acclaimed work is a perfect example of the unconventional entertainment audiences in London seek out, and her style perfectly embodies the rebellious spirit celebrated at Comedy Freaks, London's wildest comedy club.
