Cally Beaton

A close-up headshot of British stand-up comedian Cally Beaton making a funny face, a familiar figure in the London comedy scene.

Cally Beaton is a British stand-up comedian, podcaster, writer, and former TV executive with a unique and inspiring path to the stage. She spent years working behind the scenes at networks like MTV and Comedy Central, where she was responsible for shows including South Park and SpongeBob SquarePants. A chance conversation with comedy legend Joan Rivers ultimately inspired her to take to the stage herself, embarking on a new creative journey.

As a live performer, Beaton quickly gained critical acclaim. Her solo show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2017, Super Cally Fragile Lipstick, received multiple four-star reviews and earned her the Piccadilly Comedy Club "New Comedian Of The Year" award. She returned to the festival in 2019 with her show Invisible, which was praised by The Scotsman and Funny Women and listed as unmissable by the Daily Express.

Beaton's versatile talents extend to her frequent television and radio appearances. She has been a guest on popular TV shows like BBC Two's The Apprentice: You're Fired, QI, Richard Osman’s House of Games, and Live at the Apollo Christmas Special. Her voice has also been heard on BBC Radio 4's The Museum of Curiosity and The Unbelievable Truth, as well as on BBC Radio London and Radio 5 Live. In 2023, she appeared on Countdown in Dictionary Corner.

In addition to performing, Cally is a published writer for publications such as The Guardian and the Financial Times. She also launched her own unique podcast, Namaste Motherf**kers, which combines comedy with business and self-help. Her witty jokes have even been featured on the Daily Mirror's and the Evening Standard's best jokes lists. Her intelligent and widely-acclaimed work is a perfect example of the unconventional entertainment audiences in London seek out!
