Aayush Rathi

Comedian Aayush Rathi performing live on stage, smiling broadly while holding a microphone with both hands. Dark navy blue graphic t-shirt, dark event backdrop with partial text branding, warm stage lighting.

Socially awkward, chronically overthinking, and in possession of a fully developed thesis on testicle droopage. Aayush Rathi is a London comedian whose stand-up revolves around himself and his relationship with the world around him, the bits of that relationship that are, by his own admission, mostly his own fault. His material ranges from free hugs to finding shoplifters inexplicably attractive, and the logic that connects those two things is entirely his own. He describes his struggles with society as self-curated, which is both a joke and probably accurate.

Despite arriving recently on the circuit, his competition record is already substantial. He was one of six finalists in the Bristol Comedy Competition 2026 at the Bristol Folk House, 150 entrants reduced to a final six through heats and semi-finals, judged by comedy journalist Bruce Dessau and reached the final of the Reading New Comedian of the Year, which brought together ten acts for its competition final.

On the London gong circuit his record is equally strong. He has won the Big Belly Comedy Club Gong Show twice, won Beat the Blackout at Up The Creek in Greenwich, and won the Backyard Knockout at Backyard Comedy Club in 2025,three different formats at three different London venues.
